Oxbridge Re to Attend Rendez-Vous de Septembre in Monte-Carlo as Company Advances Reinsurance, Tokenization and AI Infrastructure Strategy
GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands, Aug. 31, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Oxbridge Re Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: OXBR) ("Oxbridge" or the "Company"), together with its subsidiary SurancePlus, today announced that members of its executive team will attend the Rendez-Vous de Septembre (RVS) in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, from September 5-9, 2026.
Rendez-Vous de Septembre is one of the global insurance and reinsurance industry's premier annual gatherings, bringing together insurers, reinsurers, brokers, investors and other market participants ahead of the upcoming reinsurance renewal season.
Oxbridge and SurancePlus plan to engage with existing and prospective insurance and reinsurance partners, brokers, institutional investors and other industry participants during the event as the Company continues to expand its reinsurance business and SurancePlus tokenization platform.
The Company's participation at Rendez-Vous de Septembre follows a significant year of execution for SurancePlus, which completed five tokenized reinsurance securities offerings in 2026, including two securities tied to Oxbridge's traditional reinsurance activities and three securities providing qualified investors with contractual exposure to designated reinsurance risk associated with HCI Group, Inc. a leading Florida-based homeowners insurance provider, and its reinsurance subsidiary, Fortex Reinsurance SPC, Ltd.
The five 2026 offerings included:
- HCI Re 2026 Series A: targeting an annual return of 224%
- HCI Re 2026 Series B: targeting an annual return of 122%
- HCI Re 2026 Series C: targeting an annual return of 17%
- T42-2027: targeting an annual return of 32%
-
T20-2027: targeting an annual return of 26%
Targeted returns assume no underwriting losses and are not guarantees of future performance.
The 2026 offerings further expanded SurancePlus' strategy of connecting institutional-quality reinsurance opportunities with qualified investors through blockchain-based digital securities. The offerings were issued using Solana blockchain infrastructure, demonstrating the Company's continued development of a bridge between traditional reinsurance markets and digital capital formation.
Oxbridge also recently announced its expansion into AI infrastructure through AI GridWorks, its AI data center development platform. Building on SurancePlus' successful use of the Solana blockchain to tokenize reinsurance real-world assets (RWAs), Oxbridge is exploring opportunities to extend its digital asset strategy to additional institutional-quality real-world assets, including potential investment interests associated with AI infrastructure and data centers.
The Company believes the convergence of AI infrastructure, blockchain technology and tokenization may create new opportunities to connect traditionally illiquid real-world assets with global digital capital markets.
Jay Madhu, Chairman and CEO of Oxbridge and SurancePlus, commented: "SurancePlus has demonstrated that institutional reinsurance opportunities can be brought on-chain using the Solana blockchain. With five tokenized reinsurance offerings completed in 2026 and Oxbridge now expanding into AI infrastructure through AI GridWorks, we see an opportunity to build on that foundation and explore the application of tokenization to AI infrastructure and other real-world assets.
We believe the intersection of reinsurance, AI infrastructure and blockchain-based capital formation represents a compelling long-term opportunity for Oxbridge. Rendez-Vous de Septembre is an important gathering for the global reinsurance industry, and we look forward to discussing the continued growth of our reinsurance platform and the broader opportunities ahead."
SurancePlus has completed tokenized reinsurance offerings across four consecutive treaty years. The Company believes its growing transaction history demonstrates the potential for blockchain-based securities to broaden access to insurance-linked investments while creating additional channels through which reinsurance companies may access capital.
